On this day OUR SAVIOR was born

Matthew 1: 19-21
19And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. 20But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."

Isaiah 53
1 Who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm? 2 My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him. 3 He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.
4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! 5
But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. 6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
7 He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. 8 Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. 9 He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave.
10 But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. 11 When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS !!!!!!!!
Thank you for giving us Salvation,Hope,Peace,Mercy & Grace
May you all have a blessed New Year. When you hear Him knock open the door of your heart for you are forgiven no matter what road you have been on. He knew you by name before your mother knew you. He paid for your sins before He brought you into this world. Trust in Him, Believe in Him, Accept Him as your Savior and you will have eternal Life.

Going Home!!!! Going Home !!!!!

YIPPY we are going home the end of December for 3 weeks! I can't wait. It will be much warmer there. It hasn't snowed ground level yet here and I'm going crazy. I'm ready for it. Scott's been doing some hunting. WOooooo Hoooo we now have enough red meat in the freezer for the winter ! To bad we have no Salmon but we have plenty of Halibut ! Not much has been going on. Oh Mr. Rowdy need knee surgery. I finally told the vet about it and what I thought and she confirmed it. He's at a stage 2 out of 4 so we have sometime to save up the cash for it.
It's much cheaper than I've been reading online in various forums.

Josh and Hollie are coming to Sitka from Petersburg to spend the week of Thanksgiving with us. They are so much like family to us and we are so excited they are coming. We are going to Stacy and Derricks house for dinner. There will be Lots of food and about 4 couples.

Have I posted that I have a job now ? Yep the Church we are attending ask if I'd like to be the Friday Secretary. So I'm working very part time on Friday's. I'm liking staying home.

Scott and I just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary on Nov 14th (been together 19).We had a VERY romantic dinner out. Very comical of you want to hear about it let me know lol. He got me the Amazon Kindle as a gift WOO HOOOO. If you don't know what it is just go to Amazon.com and look for KINDLE. I got him a book and a new pair of waders.

Well that's about it for this update. Leave us a comment !

HAPPY WINTER !

Yes I said winter there is no such thing as Fall in Alaska. Not much going on with the Mooneyham's. Scott FINALLY got us a deer so we have about 10 lbs. of red meat in the freezer.

He will go hunting again in 2 weeks while he's on leave. You just don't realize how much red meat and fish you eat until you don't have any. And I won't buy ground beef EWWWW.

I've gone and gotten myself a VERY part time job. I wasn't even looking for it, it came to me.

I'm working as the Friday Secretary at the Church we've been attending. I'll be crossed trained at some point to help the full time Secretary out when she needs time off.
It's kind of nice knowing I have to be someplace. It's been 7 months since I last worked and although I love being a housewife it does tend to get pretty boring.

2 of my friends here have had babies (well one any day now) and my bff here just found out she's pregnant. I'm excited for all of them and NOW my clock has kicked in and is ticking loudly!

I WANT A BABY .You'd be amazed at how many women 40+ are having babies these days.
The doggies are doing great. Emma was excited to see what little white stuff we had faling from the sky lol She's definately our snow baby. Rowdy would rather just look out the window at it.

Well if your wanting to get gifts for us this year we both have wish list set up. One for me on Amazon.com and Scott has one set up on Cabelas.com. I sure wish we had enough room here to have a big tree. We will survive though.

Josh and Holly (friends from Petersburg) will be coming to stay with us the week of Thanksgiving. I'm so excited ! I miss my coffee buddy. Well that's about it.

How about leaving us some LOVE and post a comment.

We love and miss everyone of you !

The rain ! Stop the rain !

Kid you not since January 1 Sitka has had 20 days of sun. The rest have been rain and overcast. Now this info is coming from one of the music directors at one of the local Churches. Even Scott has been complaining about the rain. And that is not normal.

Since we last posted I've started sewing. Small things but I'm sewing with a machine that actually works. There is a coastie family going through a tuff time. Their litte Hadley has been battling a brain Tumor for 4 years now and well it's almost time for her to meet Jesus.
Some Coastie wives are doing quilt squares to have a quilt made for Mom and Dad and one for each of Miss Hadley's brothers. It was my most challenging task at sewing so far but I'm very proud of it.

If you'd like to meet Miss Hadley you can read about her here.

http://www.caringbridge.org/ca/hadleyfox/

Here is the Quilt Square.

Since the picture was taken I have written a Scripture Passage at the bottom Psalm 18:2.

Now I will start on Christmas projects! Prayers that what Scott and I are working on turns out.
Stall haven't decided on a Church but have been to one more than others. They even spoke to me about possibly doing secretarial work one or two days a week there. But haven't said definite.
I guess it will be a good thing. I can at least get out of the house for a few hours.
I'm also looking at MAYBE going to work for the local vet as a receptionist/Vet Assistant.Nothing written in stone yet but I'm happy either way.

Scott is heading out with a buddy in the morning for a day of Hunting. We have no red meat to get us through the winter and you know I"m not buying it lol.

Love to all !

YEE HAW

What an eventful month so far. Scott has been gone quite a bit. It seems as soon as he gets home he's gone again. Last week he was in Seattle for some training and ended up calling an ambulance to come get him from his hotel cause he was in great pain . They picked him up and hooked him to fluids and morphine. Ran blood teat and those came back normal. So they did a CT Scan and low and behold he had a kidney stone at 5mm. they kept him for a few more hours sent him back to the hotel with perkiest (not sure on that spelling) and Motrin. The next morning he got up to go to class and was late. came back for lunch and called me and not 5 minutes after we hung up he called back to say he had passed the stone.

YEEE HAWW.

He's also been placed back on his heart medication. he followed up with the doc here and she's confused. She doesn't understand why the cardiologist diagnosed him Asymptomatic. she says there has to be an underlying cause. Now I'm freaking out again that she's going to send him before a med board.

Hopefully I'm worrying for nothing. Ya'll now me I'm a real worry wart.

As for myself. I'm enjoying not working (kinda). I've been in PT now for a month for my back and I feel it is somewhat helping.

As soon as I'm able to be on my feet for longer periods of time I am going to find something part time to keep me a little busy.

We have pretty much settled in the house all except for a few things that need to be hung on the walls. Scott is the master of that. If I did it , it would never be level hahaha.

The fur babies are liking their new home. And I actually take them for evening walks when it's not raining. it does them good and me. Rowdy has a problem with his left back knee so we are keeping an eye out on that. I've ordered some glucosamine to try and see if it helps.

That's about it for now. Ya'll send us some sunshine!

Oh we went fishing for pinks Saturday before last. What a blast ! we brought 5 home and are going to smoke them. That's all they are good for anyway.

If anyone wants to toss a nice Red ,Silver or a Winter my way I'm willing to take them! we have no salmon for the winter.

HUGS TO ALL !!

We're Here !

OH how beautiful! Sitka is perfect ! We arrived on the 23 of June. Had our home on June 25th and had all of our stuff delivered on the 27th. We are still unpacking boxes and will be for awhile yet. Scott left today for a week.
I've been down for a week and I have about another week to go. I had to have an abscess lanced and I've been on pain killers and antibiotics and they make me sleepy and sick to my tummy.
So slowly but surly we are trying to get organized. Downstairs is pretty much complete. Upstairs is a whole story of it's own.
Rowdy and Emma seem to be happy. Rowdy turns 4 this months. I can't believe we have had him that long, almost seems like yesterday I picked him up from the airport.

Sitka weather is about the same as Peterburg so there isn't much to adjust to. I love hearing the planes coming in all day long. I forgot how much I liked living next to an airport.
I don;t have much of a yard. but I do have a small area around the front porch that I can plant flowers. Of course I won't be doing it this year since it's late in the season. Next year watch out!
I'll be in Pansie Heaven with a splash of Lebillia.

There is actually traffic here and a STOP LIGHT ! that works ! hahahahahaha I've almost driven through it a few times. Lots of nice shops.

Oh Hammer and Wikan peeps MY CLOCK WORKS BEAUTIFULLY and sounds great when it chimes I just love it. I think of my grandparents every time it plays.

Well that's about all for today I'm sleepy!

If you want our new address send me an email !

And we are OUT OF HERE !

OH JOY JOY JOY ! we filled a 40 foot con-x box about 95% full of crap lol
It will all arrive in Sitka before we do. But that's ok cause we don't have a place yet. Hoping to have one next week.
We leave on Monday on the ferry it will take us about 12 hours to get there.
I have my book ,knitting and MP3 player to keep me busy.

Emma and Rowdy are not liking living in a hotel. when we try leaving the room they whine and Emma will actually bark. I think I solved the barking problem. The vet came into town and I went and got some sedatives lol so she's all chillin' now.
I was even able to leave the room for about 20 minutes and the front desk said no problems.

Scott's last day of wotrk will be friday that gives us 2 days to goof off around town.

GOODBYE PETERSBURG! You will be missed.

To all of the friends I've made PLEASE stay intouch. That's the one thing I hate about moving around so much is losing contact with good friends.

TAKE CARE And GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Not much longer now !

I'm getting VERY excited! The movers come in 13 days! and we are out of here in 21 days.

I've got totes packed up that we are taking and have already packed one suitcase .

I've been baking up a storm trying to use up all the blueberries I froze last year. I don't think they will do well in the trip. Yes we are taking what fish and wild game we have with us. It's not much but we'd rather have it than not.

We had 3 weeks of total sunshine ! Can you believe it ? Of course they will have a great sunny Summer now that we are leaving hahaha. I got super excited to see the rain come yesterday.

We really needed it to wash the Spruce pollen and dust down.

Since my last post I completed a sweater for Rowdy!! He's so cute. The chest is a little big but if he keeps eatting like he does then it will fit just perfectly before long.
Scott has been at school for the past 2 weeks. He will come home 2 days before the packers come. He has lots to do, things that I'm unable to take care of. Like getting that Goat rug off the stair well wall.
I'll try to post again before we go if not I'll post after we get settled.
LOVE TO ALL !
Scott, Lisa , Rowdy and Emma

WOO HOO

Finally I finished the Baby blanket I was working on, and i finished my first pair of socks.
However one sock is to bbig and one to small lol I'm going to try again.
I'm now working on a sweater for Rowdy He loves sweaters. I've also sewed me a new rice pack.
You know those things you put in the microwave and heat up. I back adores them!
Speaking of my back it's still pretty painful. Going on 6 months now. The doc here keeps yelling me to take muscle relaxers and blows me off. So i'll wait till we get to Sitka and see a doc there.

Scott has been busy flying back and forth to schools in VA. between today and June 14 I will see him one time ! And that will be for 2 days. Well that's about it. The weather has been so so. some sunny days but more rainy days. yesterday it actually reached 61 !!

Well here is a pic of the blanket and one of the socks lol

It's Official

Well it's official as of today i'm no longer employed. Woo hooo

Now I have to keep myself busy for the next 2 months before we move then get busy again once we get to Sitka.

My employers gave me a GREAT wall chiming clock that I've loved since I saw it. I was totally shocked when Iopened the box. It's by far the best parting gift I've ever gotten from a job.

Well and the one my job in Kodiak gave me. They gave be a beautiful Russian Doll.

Guess I'll have to get up and cook Scott breakfast in the mornings and see him off.

NOT ! hahaha

I have a picture of the clock it still has the peanuts in the glass and thr pendulum isn't attached but you get the idea.

Have a great weekend !

Well Well Well

Isn't this funny. I had forgotten I even et this thing up. Let see in almost a YEAR ! We have endured another snowy wintr in Alaska. As of today it's still snowing but not sticking.
I wonder if it will ever end.

We got orders to SITKA back in January. We are so excited. No telling what will happen after this tour. Scott is going to take the Senoir Chief service wide exam and that mean if he makes the cut out chanced of remaiining in Alaska will be NONE. Well unless by some mirical the ANY CHIEF job would happen to come open in Kodiak. It's a desk job but it would keep up in AK and in the city we've talked so much about retireing in.
It would also be about a 700.00 a month pay cut cause he would lose sea pay.

Who know where God want's us. We just sit back and pray and hope and where ever he says go we go.

Friday is my last day of work and then I start cleaning things and getting ready for the movers.
They come the second week of June. This will be the first time Scott and I are cleaning out ourselves so I'm going to take ALOT of time doing it.
Well hopefully I won't forget I have this spot again . lol

Much Love
